Fall 2020 Series: Beyond the Basics: Living The Four Noble Truths
The Four Noble Truths is the cornerstone teaching of the Buddha. It was his first teaching. Within the multitudes of his discourses, he often proclaimed that one would discover that he taught only suffering and its end. For four weeks we’ll explore these simple and yet often elusive truths about how and why we experience life’s stresses.
This class is experiential: based on our personal direct experience of suffering (stress). Together we will attempt to explore and uncover our deeply embedded habits and patterns that keep us in the cycle of suffering. In accordance with deepening our understanding and efforts guided by these Noble Truths, we’ll endeavor to practice ways to reduce our suffering.
